Weekly Rhythms
Learning
A few times a week, you will spend time with an instructor and your fellow residents to dive into Scripture and Theology together. These classes will push you to learn, reflect, and discern what God is doing in the world and in your life.
Ministry Experience
You will be trained to work with young people at the Teen Center, our Homework Clubs, or on our School Sites in Lodi. We have a distinct focus on mental health and helping at risk youth.
Spiritual Formation
As a resident you are expected to be living towards a thriving spiritual life and we will have daily prayer times and weekly worship gatherings to help you. Under the guidance of a Spiritual Director, you will spend time reflecting on your spiritual journey and learn new ways to connect with God.
Adventures
Adventure Trips
Part of your ministry training will be to accompany a group of teenagers on our Adventure Trips to beautiful places like the Redwoods, Santa Cruz, or Lake Tahoe.
El Salvador Trip
This is a specific study trip for our residents to learn about issues of immigration, missions, and community development in a different context. We will work with local non-profits to learn how they serve their community in El Salvador.
Retreats
You will take part in the annual NAB Norcal Retreat at Lake Tahoe to refresh physically and spiritually and to connect with other ministry leaders from our region.
